It's nice to start over. 2008 has been kicking my ass in the last months. Trying to keep optimistic about the new year in respects to keeping my job, teaching art. I wont go on about it.

Pop Ups, cards, jolly ranchers, and a Ham

Gift wrapping and cards, 'tis the season.

I remember when my family discovered that I can wrap presents and they asked me to wrap their presents...Ahh.. You don't understand that there was 10 of us, do the math. And it was not that my mom had a lot of kids, she has a lot of sisters. I kinda wanted to help cause my mom's wrapping skills were non- existent. She wrapped presents like a candy. Rolls and twist on both sides so it looked like a giant jolly rancher.

step:

1. steal a cool graphic from the Internet...Santa is my homeboy is cool.
2. click on Card
3. pick a template for your card
4. drag other photos from your i photo
5. write what you want and drag other photos into the sections you can drag photos to
6. print
   
7. you would have to print it back to back or print both card sides and paste them together

I miss Pee Wee!

RIP Bettie Page

If Rockabilly would have a Patron Saint (those words are used loosely) it would be Bettie Page.

With that, I can't help but feel a little choked up to hear that Bettie Page died after suffering a heart attack and slipping into a coma. She was 85. She was a pin up and fetish model.
Her image has been on everything and I remember hearing that she said that now she was not so much in the limelight because she wanted to be remembered how she looked before. She was so humble.

She was as beautiful on her last day as the day she was born.

What her pictures did or so is present this playful and sassy lady with that raven black hair and awesome body.

She is an icon and may she make heaven more beautiful.
Funeral services are private and will be at the Westwood Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday Dec. 16. I wish I could go. She will be resting alongside Marilyn Monroe.
